I was due to set off tomorrow but as there was a few days of fine weather due I decided to try & leave today as I'd get an extra day of good weather to set me on my way.
I arrived at Rest Bay about six hours before the tide turned in my favor but I had the offer of a lift so I took it.
The conditions varied from F4-F5 & dipped to F3 briefly. After lots of deliberating I chose to camp there for the night & hope for better conditions in the morning. This was after all the biggest open crossing I've attempted so far & it was making me nervous...
Home for the night... |
Didn't expect to see a Gannet this far East, turned out I was in for more surprises... |
